On Saturday May 22nd, we touched down in Elsmore, Naas with a coffee morning and some chats with the local community to kick start the Home Together initiative. It was lovely to put some faces with names and get a sense of what’s going on in the community there.

We were very fortunate to have a bright start to the day and thankfully, things stayed dry and lots of the community came out to say hello.

We had lots of creative input on the day from the young people of Elsmore. From drawings and diagrams to fun suggestions for the iconic Elsmore hill. The games on the green seemed to be a big hit too.

The lovely coffee and treats supplied by Beanery Coffee, gave everyone a chance to mingle and get to know each other a bit better. We had some great chats about what the community in Elsmore is already up to, from the local Wiki page to social gatherings on Friday evenings. Some of the newer residents got the chance to meet their neighbours properly for the first time and we got the opportunity to chat about some neighbourly projects and further development the Elsmore community activity programme for the coming months.

The Home Together post box was filled up with some great information about the Elsmore Community – and some brilliant surprise drawings too! Thanks so much to everyone who got involved on the day or dropped off their survey.

If you are a Elsmore resident then you can also fill out our survey online here – you might even win a prize!
