Choose a date & location
It’s important to find a space that is suitable for you and your poochie pals that leaves plenty of room for safe social distancing: your street, a local park, a back garden. Anywhere that’s big enough and animal friendly!
Invite your neighbours & their pets
Get your neighbours, friends and family involved, whether they have their own pets or not! Let people know about the event via your neighbourhood group message board (on Whatsapp or Facebook), and encourage people to spread the word to senior members of the community who may not be online.
Ask for volunteers to help the event run smoothly on the day and invite people to volunteer as judges for the dog show if you would like to add an element of competition to your event.
Plan your perfect dog-show
Before your dog-show, choose all the activities that you would like to do. That way you have some time to prepare what you will need and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day.
